The superior audio quality and durability of the RDX Series allows you to build bridges that expand the capabilities of individuals and teams, enabling them to get the job done right, fast, and safely. That means powerful productivity that's perfect for:
Maintaining order and enhancing student safety are priorities for any school. RDX Series radios keep everyone in touch, from teachers and administrators to crossing guards and maintenance personnel. That enables a quick response to any situation, often preventing small problems from escalating into bigger ones.
Success in industry depends on two things: efficiency and responsiveness. Clear communication, often in noisy environments, is essential to avoid downtime--and to enable the fastest response to production problems or injuries. The RDX Series delivers. Its rugged construction stands up to industrial environments, and its long battery life meets the demands of overtime and multi-shift operations.
Excellent service and customer satisfaction are the keys to loyalty and repeat business. RDX Series radios keep your staff connected, from the front desk and concierge to event planners and maintenance personnel. That means a more productive staff and fast response to guest needs, special events, spills and emergencies.
Responsive service is essential to sales and customer satisfaction. RDX Series radios make responsiveness easier to provide, whether it's an answer to a customer's question, a price check, a clean-up or an emergency. With clear, constant communication ensured, customer satisfaction can be taken to the next level.
Property Management
With RDX Series radios, building managers, maintenance technicians, groundskeepers and security personnel can respond fast to tenant needs or emergencies, minimizing costs and enhancing tenant satisfaction.
To keep any construction project on track, you need timely coordination from management to foremen, subcontractors, and individual tradespeople. RDX Series radios make it easy, helping keep projects on schedule, avoid errors, meet deadlines and keep costs on budget.
Excellence in Design; Exceptional Durability
Rugged and reliable, the RDX Series radios undergo rigorous testing in the design process using U.S. Military 810 C, D, E and F Standards--so you can rest assured they hold up under demanding conditions. These tests are designed to simulate the very harshest environments, including:
Blowing Rain
Steady rainfall and wind for 30 minutes on every surface.
Salt Fog
48 hours of exposure.
Up to nine hours of exposure to vibration that simulates the rigors that a radio could undergo while being carried or transported.
Blowing Dust
Six hours of blowing dust on all surfaces.
18 shocks with a minimum G force of 40 G each.
Temperature Storage
Multiple hours of exposure to storage temperatures as low as -67° F and as high as 160° F.
IP54/55 Standard
In addition, the RDX Series radios are tested to IP54/55 standards, highly demanding tests for water and dust resistance. The IP54/55 tests include subjecting the radio to a high-speed, high-volume shower from all directions for three minutes. In this test, the radio must endure conditions so harsh that a human being could not survive them.
With their Military and IP ratings, the RDX Series radios have proven they're rugged enough to handle the harsh conditions they'll be exposed to in daily use by your customers--and provide the maximum uptime that helps drive productivity while providing exceptional value.

Waiting for Flight 3

Waiting for Flight 3

We had three separate flights over to Prague.

The first flight was from RDU to Memphis. Things took off slowly... After boarding the plane on time, we sat for 45 minutes while we waited for the plane to be de-iced. The actual flight went well but this set us behind on what was already a short 55 minute layover in Memphis which now was cut down to 15 minutes. As we exited the plane, we were told to "run if we can". The arrival gate... A1. The departing gate... B 43. After passing several NWA officers who radioed ahead our positions along the run, dropping a cd player, and making a short "blair witch" style film of the journey, we finally made our destination. What better to top the story than to board a plane with no air-conditioning.

This flight was fairly smooth however and we arrived ahead of schedule in Amsterdam, Netherlands. We kicked around for about an hour and a half there(shown above) and caught our final flight which was only about an hour into Prague. I was very happy when I asked if they served beer and they said "of course!". We've made it!

Delays 193/365

Delays 193/365

Thunderstorms turned a routine flight to the west coast into a trying day...so I took pic. Originally scheduled to go from RDU to ATL..then ATL to SJC. Flight from RDU left 4 hrs late so they kindly rebooked me, but to SFO (then I could drive to SJC, thanks). Originally got there an the board read 11:59, then it went to 12:15...so I started taking pics every time it changed. There were 5 delays between the shots.
